Raised by his parents, Betty and Jim, James was instilled with the values of hard work, purpose, and perseverance. These values, along with the challenges and competition of growing up with his brothers Bobby, Donny, and Vinny, shaped his determination to fight for his goals.

His wife, Diane, has been his constant companion through most chapters of his life, and together they have built a life grounded in love, partnership, and resilience, raising two daughters, Laura and Kathy, who carry these principles forward.
